Tamar is a pastor’s wife of 25 years to a loving and patient husband, and mom of two wonderfully made teenage sons, one who lives with special needs. She desires to glorify her heavenly Father, faithfully follow Jesus her Savior, and consistently study God’s Word.
Her passion is to encourage women to love and follow Jesus and intently study His Word by teaching the truth of the Bible and sharing the good news of God’s redemptive grace. She is thankful for and committed to her local church in SW Florida, where she has been a member for the past 20 years. She has served in the Women’s Ministry throughout the past 18 years as a Bible teacher, ministry leader, and guest speaker at women’s events. She also serves on staff at a K-12 private school and enjoys volunteering in her church’s library.
She was educated at Azusa Pacific University and the University of Texas at Dallas and received her MBA in 2001. As an aspiring author, Odd Moms Out: God’s Redemptive Grace in the Lives of Five Biblical Mothers is her first published book. When she is not teaching, studying, or writing, she enjoys exercising, family time, eating out with friends, or taking a nap. She has been described as real and transparent, but also known for quick-witted humor, asking too many questions, a love for coffee, and owning one too many pairs of Converse tennis shoes.
