Our lives are constantly filled with challenges, struggles and uncertainties that seem far too unbearable; and the common denominator amongst us all is that we seek remedies to cope with such pressures. The avenues pursued differ but within the heart of every man is the desire to get relief from it all. Some argue to have a greater load than others but the size is not the prudent issue. It’s the inevitability that all are faced with seemingly impossible hurdles to overcome and therefore the trick to winning amidst it all is a pertinent matter.
I don’t seek to state the obvious nor dance around such details on general living but hope to invoke a daring faith in you that will help you whether the greatest storms of your life.
Only two days ago I was reminiscing on a song by Israel Houghton called ‘Your presence is Heaven’; which brought me face to face to the reality of God’s presence in my life. I realised that we go on about our daily lives as if this great God whom we serve is a great mile away caught up in other business, or not interested in our flimsy issues. The truth is that God is very real and present in our lives here and now; and the key is to of align our mindset to this truth. Problems are not enough to remove His presence, nor keep us away from His love. In light of this we should never use the presence of problems to determine God’s absence as they have no bearing on His power or ability. He is sovereign and therefore not subject to human order but divine order.
He never promised an easy ride, nor guaranteed that our lives would not be shaken by complexities of daily living but he did promise to keep us and to be with us even till the end. That was the word and promise is sure and as he said it, so shall it be. Time after time we see God doing the unthinkable, unexplainable, the impossible in the lives of ordinary people. So it’s not based on your status but if you would only believe then all things are possible. Nothing about what God is simple nor deniable as much as the intellectuals of our day would like us to believe otherwise. They put forward that faith and religion are for the simple and poor; but I am not referring to religion but an unswerving trust in the God who answers by fire. History records those who have dared to challenge Him and to take him out the equation through philosophy and modern theories that give nonsensical answers to divine workings however I can confidently assure that Jehovah stands the test of time and not even the grave could confine HIM.
Immutable, omnipotent, omniscience is HE
It’s not for you to work it out or figure it out but place to your trust in the God who causes the sun to stand still, the seas to spilt and brings the dead to life. The book Daniel records that He holds our very breath in his hand and therefore He is in complete control of everything, His power know no limits and His greatness knows no boundaries. He has the power to walk on top of everything that is threatening to take you under.
Despite the Goliaths you face,
The mountains in front of you,
The magnitude of your problems,
The debt you are in,
The complexity of your challenge,
The growing opposition against you…..DARE TO TRUST HIM
No matter how many times you have fallen and failed or how long you have been in the pit…………. DARE TO TRUST HIM
Not a pandemic like the one we currently see has the power to change Him so there remains no good enough reason not to trust the one who has never failed and never lost a battle.
I boldly dare you to do the best thing you could ever do for yourself, as it yield rewards none like any other. They that trust in the Lord cannot be moved, the bible even goes on to declare that they will renew their strength and rise up with wings like eagles.
