Dealing with SIN-CONSCIOUSNESS

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I’ve often heard believers say: I am a sinner saved by grace! It sounds so spiritual and so humbling, isn’t it? Unfortunately, therein lies the seed of a low and irresponsible ‘Christian Life.’
The truth is that, if you’re a sinner, you are not saved but if you are saved, you are definitely not a sinner!
You can’t be the two at the same time.

If any Man be in Christ, he IS a NEW CREATURE!

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
2 Cor.5:17( Amp.)

He is a product of God’s righteousness. He’s a brand new man. His sins are all forgiven because his sin nature has been dealt with through the death and resurrection of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The change is complete and comprehensive. He is a brand new miracle from the bowels of divinity.

1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

You were not redeemed with things that are subject to decay or corruption but with the Precious blood of Jesus without blemish and without spot.

It’s an insult to redemption when believers live in sin-consciousness when in reality they were born again, not with corruptible seed, but by the incorruptible seed of the word of God which lives and abides for ever!

Sin-consciousness will ruin your Fellowship and walk with the Lord and make you susceptible to sinful lifestyle. You will never have boldness in the place of prayers! You will never really enjoy the love of the Father because fellowship with Him will be too high and lofty for you to comprehend. It will stifle the development of your faith and rob you of your confidence in the Lord. Sin-consciousness will leave you a perennial baby on matters concerning faith and service. You will never be able to walk in the word and spirit nor have the confidence to exercise the gifts of the spirit! The consequences of living in sin-consciousness as a believer are too dire to contemplate.

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Unfortunately, those who are wallowing in the mire of sin consciousness believes that they are being humble not knowing that they are exhibiting a very high level of intolerance to the work of God’s grace in Christ.

Humility is when we acknowledge what God has done in us through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

YOU ARE A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST!

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
