Dimensions of Trust (Part 1)
Romans 10: 9-15
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Trust- hope/refuge/protection/confidence
The first step in Trusting God and His son Jesus Christ the savior of the world begins with an act of faith. Faith being the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Three divine preparing principles initiate this process of Trusting God unto salvation.
1.) God First Loved Us
2.) Jesus is the Author of our Faith
3.) Jesus Chose Us
The Key to Freedom
The key to freedom is to know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
God made man in His image and His likeness, male and female created he them. According to teachings from the Genesis account, God made man from the dust, then breathed into Adam and man became a living soul. Therefore, man is more than simply flesh and blood but also has an inner man. Several factors of the composition of man can be examined from varying perspectives of life.
The Heart of Man: the impact of the conscience
The Body of Man: Soma
The Mind of Man: the impact and connection with the heart and conscience
The Soul of Man: Psuche
The Spirit of Man: Pneuma
The scripture is very clear that God made man upright but that they sought out many inventions. So, we see a turning of man after the fall in the garden. Now we know the serpent was the most subtle beast of the field and is the adversary to the souls of mankind whether people recognize the fangs of evil and seek refuge (Trust) from the Savior (King Jesus) or whether the lust of this world has blinded their minds.
The good news of the gospel is certain that Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost.
I John 3
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
So, what if we have asked God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sins, as no man can come to the Father but by Him, but our heart still condemns us. The holy scripture, which is forever settled in the heavens, teaches that God is greater than our hearts and knoweth all things. Therefore, we can assure our hearts in the truth because if our heart condemn us not then we have confidence that whatsoever we ask of Him , we receive of Him, because we do those things which are pleasing in his sight. “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”
The effect of trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation by faith is Peace.
Reconciliation
Jesus: He which Is, which Was, and which Is to come, the Almighty died for the sins of the whole world. Jesus is the Word made Flesh. “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness (John 12:46).”
John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
Cycle of Life
Trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ the son of God, who came in the flesh and died on the cross for our sins and arose the third day, ascended into the heavens and for whom we await the great day of His glorious return as He gave promise, throughout our natural and spiritual journey of faith holds a significant component. Serving God in sincerity with a pure conscience through every phase and cycle of life from childhood and youth, through adulthood and in old age.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Hebrews 10:22
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
A popular song says it like this, People Get Ready, Jesus is Coming to take from the world His own.
Be reconciled to God today:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
