I am excited to share with you about my newly published book by Kharis Publishing, Odd Moms Out, which shares the stories of five biblical mothers central to the genealogy of Christ. You will discover how God’s effective grace can redeem a life and point to Jesus and His gospel message.

I invite you to study these stories of hope that will encourage you and challenge you to trust the Savior and rely on His redemptive grace no matter what you face. These biblical narratives will provide insight into the lives of women such as:

Tamar: twice-widowed and childless, she arranged an incestuous encounter with her father-in-law

Rahab: the prostitute who hid enemy spies to save her life

Ruth: the barren widow who cared for her mother-in-law in a foreign country

Bathsheba: the married woman who committed adultery with her husband’s murderer

Mary: the pregnant woman engaged to a man who was not the biological father of her child

The Lord can choose any person He desires as a grace-recipient to display His mercy and love in accordance with His plan of salvation and sovereign will. By exploring the stories of five mothers from the past who were impacted by God’s redemptive grace, you can discover that no matter who you are or what your story is, God’s grace is able to impact your life as well.

“But by God’s grace I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not ineffective.” (1 Corinthians 15:10)

Odd Moms Out: God’s Redemptive Grace in the Lives of Five Biblical Mothers is available on Amazon.

Tamar Miller

Tamar is a pastor’s wife of 25 years to a loving and patient husband, and mom of two wonderfully made teenage sons, one who lives with special needs. She desires to glorify her heavenly Father, faithfully follow Jesus her Savior, and consistently study God’s Word. Her passion is to encourage women to love and follow Jesus and intently study His Word by teaching the truth of the Bible and sharing the good news of God’s redemptive grace. She is thankful for and committed to her local church in SW Florida, where she has been a member for the past 20 years. She has served in the Women’s Ministry throughout the past 18 years as a Bible teacher, ministry leader, and guest speaker at women’s events. She also serves on staff at a K-12 private school and enjoys volunteering in her church’s library. She was educated at Azusa Pacific University and the University of Texas at Dallas and received her MBA in 2001. As an aspiring author, Odd Moms Out: God’s Redemptive Grace in the Lives of Five Biblical Mothers is her first published book. When she is not teaching, studying, or writing, she enjoys exercising, family time, eating out with friends, or taking a nap. She has been described as real and transparent, but also known for quick-witted humor, asking too many questions, a love for coffee, and owning one too many pairs of Converse tennis shoes.
