Focus: Enjoying Marital blessings
Text: Eph 5:25 Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
The Lord shall give us godly homes that will be established on true love. Our homes shall be filled with the blessings of marriage. Therefore, we receive the grace to grow in love towards each other in Jesus name.
In today’s message, we shall begin a series on enjoying God’s blessings in marriage. Every home as a measure of God’s blessing, including yours! We just have a responsibility to make it work through the power of love.
Adam didn’t love Eve at first sight; he loved her because he saw himself in another earthen vessel. Since no man hates himself, he loved her instantly. How do you when you behold your new looks in the mirror after a hairdo?
The foundation of every home is commitment to the welfare of each other, irrespective of storms that rage. It is good to pray His blessing, it is best to create an atmosphere for it through love.
Abraham loved Sarah to the point that he obeyed her appeal to consider Hagar in a bid to satisfy her wishes of seeing a child in their home. In the same vein, Elkanah kept encouraging Hannah till her Samuel came forth.
Mr. Ed as fondly called by his wife, Kemi, has been seeing another woman at his workplace. This lady seduces big men with her charming beauty. Ed was the next target and he was falling helplessly for her.
Unknown to Ed, Kemi had been following their WhatsApp conversations for a while, but she decided to prayerfully play along with Ed to save her marriage. Despite the strange behaviours of Ed, she remained warm.
Kemi was greatly inspired on a Monday morning. She cooked Ed’s best meal for breakfast and saw him off to work. After three hours, she decided to pay her husband a surprise visit at work. How did she meet him?
Join me next week to see how Kemi kept her home blessed. The message is that love remains the key to a blessed home. The devil has no place when we dwell together with our spouse, being committed to their welfare.
