I have pondered what to write about for my first blog post. As a God called writer, it is sometimes hard to hold onto the promise. The reason I am able to hold on through the tough times is because God gave my momma a promise. She was one of my biggest fans before the Lord decided her job was done on this earth. One day she was walking through the mall in McComb Mississippi and went into the local bookstore. As she looked around, she saw all the books. She said she stopped in the middle of the aisle and looked up to heaven and asked God how could Tyler’s , that’s me, book make it with all these titles that have so much more publicity and money behind them. She said as she stood there, God spoke to her and said, “Tell Tyler not to worry, My arm is not short.” She came straight home and told what God told her. This was not random act. My momma was a prayer warrior and amazing woman of God. She didn’t make up this and she didn’t take a message from God lightly.
She passed away in 2015 but the promise God gave to her is with me every day. I consider the word she gave me from God, just as if God told me. That is what makes me able to watch and wait on the Lord.
My new book, “SON, Moon, and Star is available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com as well as Walmart.com. It is the story how a Mississippi Sheriffs Deputy, a Jewish college student, and a future Muslim Imam come together in a time of Racial strife in Mississippi. How a Christian revival can come from this is amazing and well worth the read.
