In the midst of all positive words and confessions for the year ahead; one cannot ignore the pressing challenges of daily living. Each day presents new struggles that one has to overcome, but with it comes new mercies that make living possible. It’s important to not only highlight the negatives but also acknowledge that which keeps us going. In a bid to keep a healthy mind, all the alternatives must be explored. We are so often guilty of taking certain good in our lives for granted at a great expense, but thankfully the truth stands to free us from that trap.
I don’t claim to know your suffering or your pain, but what I do know is that overcoming is a definite possibility. Just when you think that the worst is over; life throws you new curveballs to distract your focus. With the change of our physical climate there lies new layers to make our current problems more and more complex with the dawning of each new day. However, it is the wisdom of today from these lessons that will lead us to tomorrow and give us the strength to endure with what lies before us.
A fresh dose of perspective is needed to give you the zeal to fight the fight of life and push forward. Have you considered that the reason that you are still alive is that the insurmountable problems lacked the power to destroy you. Yes, they have knocked you, yes they may have caused some loss in your life and its made life more difficult than before. However, the truth is that you are still standing, with scars, hurts and a whole lot of traumatic experiences to bear; but the bottom line is that even after all that you are still alive and kicking.
My message this day is clear DON’T STOP ……
These are words I have had to tell myself and still do echo to my soul that no matter what don’t stop.
Grace prevailed over us making us more than conquerors through Christ. The hope we cling to is Christ himself. It’s not in an organisation or a force that we cannot name, but Jesus is the very reason why we have hope. It’s in his victory that we can claim victory. Through Him grace and truth came and even though we were undeserving, grace gave us access to something better.
No battle, no storm, no war has the power to stop the flow of life and blessing in Christ. It is not even sufficient to separate us from the love of God according to Romans 8. Despite the controversies and arguments, it is settled that Grace has prevailed to make you a winner. We are nothing without it but everything with it.
Continue in the truth that through all that grace shines on you and in that in all that pursed your life, it is grace that prevailed over you. You are alive with hope because grace won and granted you an underserved privilege. Therefore, don’t stop pushing, don’t stop believing, don’t stop fighting the good fight. It’s worth the stand, worth the risk so don’t stop.
Much Love T
