Groundbreaking
2 Corinthians 5:4
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
1 Corinthians 15:54’
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Imagine the day when Jesus returns, resurrection day, when the dead in Christ shall rise first and they that remain shall be caught up to meet Him in the air. Cemeteries broke open with vault lids open and mounds of dirt piled up together. Holes in city streets and concrete foundations busted to pieces as the bodies of saints buried years ago in places built over by modern construction projects making way for the redeemed to be liberated into immortality, risen from the dead like their savior Jesus Christ. Grandmothers possibly reunited with their children as they break through the ground toward the heavens to meet Jesus and their living grandchildren beholding as they rise up while celebrating the mighty victory of life over death.
Matthew 18:10
“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.”
Contemplate the time when heaven meets earth, when the kingdom of God and of light which created all things through His beloved son Jesus Christ reveals His glory to His creation in glorious majesty. The Godly fear of watching the clouds rolled back like a scroll to reveal His power and splendor unveiled along with the shout, and the voice of the archangel. A sound that will likely shake the atmosphere and the world around it all at once. A sight so enormous that all the world like when lightning strikes illuminate the sky will shine so brightly immense that the earth with behold with awe struck wonder.
Lord have mercy on those precious angels and their families who suffered in the terrible flood in Texas. Some things are very hard to be understood, why these precious innocent children, why these precious girls praising and worshipping God in summer camp. A short news clip showed a group of girls on a bus trying to escape through the flood waters singing worship songs to the Lord and then getting quiet when going through the rough currents. The amazing faith of these little ones in the face of life-threatening peril is an incredible example of the eternal rock of Jesus Christ.
Luke 21:33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:31
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The promises of God are yes and amen. God sent His son Jesus to save the world by dying on the cross for our sins and then resurrecting from the dead. One day those who believe and trust in Him, and the true testimony that God gave of His son, will also celebrate the victory of life everlasting. Be reconciled to God. Jesus Loves You.
