As you read my first blog post, I want to thank you for your time and attention. I welcome you to continue to join me as I share my personal strings of thoughts and reflections from my heart.
When Paul addressed the Athenians in Acts 17: 16-29 he put God’s truth within the context of their own culture. He respectfully referenced their many temples and their alter to an unknown god. Then he proceeded to tell them who the unknown-to-them God is!
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact place where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.” (v. 24-26 NIV)
God eternal has placed you and me right here, right now. He desires our fellowship with Him. Though He is never far, He invites us to reach out for Him. How will you respond to His invitation?
