Today, the world faces a deadly pandemic that threatens her very existence. And amid this global crisis, My church is taking on the challenge of finding new ways of releasing the fragrance of truth by speaking My refreshing word throughout all generations.
While the pandemic hits at nations, nationalities, races, and cultures, humanity grapple for the right weapons. The fight for wisdom to combat this virus continues to challenge the survival of the human race. She (Humanity) gropes for answers on how to fight, reason with, and understand a phenomenon that is beyond description.
Every day, mainstream media releases new evidence of the devastating impact of COVID-19 (the invisible enemy) across the world. News about scaling statistics of infected persons, as well as those who have died from the pandemic, have only compound fear and despair among men and women. People are scared stiff as they struggle with how to remain safe during these uncharted times.
I hear the rhetorical questions that many ask themselves: “Do I go to work despite the high possibility of contracting the virus, putting my family at risk? Or Do I stay home and watch my family go short of food? Will this ever blow over, will life ever be normal again?”
While individuals face this dilemma, the governments (states and nations) are at a crossroads in their attempt to find a balance. “How can we reopen without increasing the spread of the virus? Should we continue to stay and home, while suffering a record decline in our economy?” They ask.
I am aware that, presently, the occurrences all over the world leave little room for hope. Many cities of the world that once teemed with a significant number of people now look like ghost towns. Everywhere you turn, you see people wearing masks, shelter-in-place, with no visible end in sight. And through all these, one thing seems to be startlingly clear: no matter how advanced humanity has become, she’s ever helpless alone—without Me.
I desire to see humanity answer my call to seek Me. It has never been louder than it is now. Right now, Humanity sees the chaos she has become, inside and out. And in these moments, the appeal to reach fully for Me and come out of your hiding is so crucial because, in Me, you are fully known and comforted. I see Humanity in every aspect of her vulnerability, and I genuinely care.
I will continue to stretch out My hands, asking, “Will you allow your vulnerability to lead you to me?” I laid down my life for you more than 2000 years ago. My actions toward you have always been for your good because in my promises are yes and amen. I am right here. Humanity, please understand, I know hope looks far away, yet if you see only the fractured pieces, you will miss Me, working behind the scenes. I am at work in everything around you.
Do you recall King David in the Bible whom I called a man after My own heart? Through every battle, I stood right by him so that My will could be fulfilled in Israel. Right now, I want to give you two tips to help you understand this season just as I revealed Myself through David.
- Intentional time: Take time to be with Me. While David attended the sheep, he pursued Me at all costs. He guarded his heart with truth. He communed with me daily. David found a love in God that became his bulletproof. He did not let outside influences or distractions to get in the way of his walk with Me. Today, I am asking what distractions are keeping you from me?
- Quality time: The world moves at a fast pace. Yet, I long for you to spend quality (substantial) time with Me. You give everything around you and in your life your best and when it comes to time spent with the Father, what do you bring?
Usually, I get a 2 to 3-minute prayer at the end of the day or no time at all. To be fully known by God, you must invest in quality time. Are you willing to invest quality time with Me? I see right through the mess inside of you. You do not have to keep hiding. I’ve said, I see you because I created you.
Finally, my child, I am the author and finisher of your faith. I am releasing something new in a world that does not reflect Me. Will you allow your vulnerability to draw you closer to me? I am your hope in great distress, your joy in boundless sorrow. I am the breath of life that makes all things new.
My kingdom is open and ready to receive you so that you will find refuge in me during and beyond COVID-19. The prodigal world is not waiting on Me, but I’m here with outstretched arms ready to make myself fully known to you. Will you allow your pain to lead you back to me? Will you treasure my words today?
