As a believer of Jesus Christ, your faith is strong enough to face the Goliaths that show up in your life. Like David, you can slay the giants that attack you by your authority in Christ. You can then enjoy the abundant life that is yours in Christ (John 10:10). Trying times help your faith grow stronger because you are forced to depend on God for strength and wisdom.
According to Hebrews 12:2, Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith, and you are to look to Him for help. He is the Rock that anchors your faith. As you grow in your relationship with Him, your faith grows stronger, and you can withstand the trying times.
To increase your faith, read and meditate on God’s word. Walk according to the Spirit and not the flesh (Romans 8:1). When you set your mind on the things of the Spirit, your faith grows because you no longer see things in the natural only. You have spiritual insight into the situations that trouble you. This will increase your faith in God.
Steadfast faith
Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-Nego exhibited outstanding faith when King Nebuchadnezzar threw them into the fiery furnace. They refused to worship the golden image he had set up. The king wanted everyone in the Babylonian kingdom to worship the image. The faith of the three men was put to the test. They came out of the fire unharmed to the amazement of the king (Daniel 3:26). King Nebuchadnezzar worshipped God as a result.
We can gain strength through our willingness to remain steadfast in our faith during our trying times, knowing that God is bigger than our situation. We don’t have to fall apart but can emerge victorious because God’s unfailing love makes us unshakeable. Always remember that your faith can move the mountains in your life. God is pleased when you have faith in Him.
Personal commitment
Make a personal commitment to Christ that no matter what adversities come your way, you are more than a conqueror through Him (Romans 8:37). You are no longer a prisoner of your past, and God has saved you by His grace. Your joy is made complete in Christ, who is your Redeemer and strength. God will restore everything you have lost during your trying time. You will live to fulfill God’s purpose for your life and bring Him glory. Even though you fall seven times, you will rise again by the power of God.
Prayer
Lord, I believe you are working on my situation and making my faith stronger at the same time. I embrace the next chapter of my life and abide by my covenant with you. I openly confess that your word shall penetrate every aspect of my life going forward. My past is behind me, and my future is before me. You will always be my deliverer because you are bigger than any situation I face. I count it all joy during this trial, for I know my deliverance is around the corner.
