What if today were your last day alive? Would you change your life? Would your eternity be more important to you?
Often, we live our lives as if we know for sure that today is NOT our last day. We assume that there is tomorrow and many more tomorrows. And, I agree that we must remain hopeful every day and believe that we will live to see tomorrow and many more days to come.
However, please read the following: “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” ( James 4:13-14, New King James Version of the Bible)
Therefore, let’s work to live each day to the fullest. Apologize today. Forgive today. Pray today. Work today. Persevere today. Encourage today. Hope today. Smile today. Love today. Repent today.
