Jesus: He which Is…
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life
Jesus is the bright and morning star
Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah
Jesus is the alpha and omega
Jesus is the first and the last
Jesus is the Word made flesh
Jesus is Emanuel, God with us
Jesus is the Resurrection
Hebrews 7: 22-25
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Sometimes we may think or feel as if we can take the heavy weights of trials and struggles on our own or in our own strength, or maybe just the vexation of all the evils of our times. However, the bible teaches we should cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for us. So many events taking place on the local, state, national, and global stage make it challenging just to keep up on a daily basis. The thought of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ suffering great persecution for their faith in nations where liberty is low, but exports are high. Christians being abused in places like China, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Iran, and many other places, while places that tout liberty and freedom are facing an avalanche of corruption to evil and sin through mischief framed in laws while forgetting God sees. God sees generations gone by, decade upon decade, and century upon century while the question remains who hath believed the report of the Lord. Do we persuade God or man of the judgment which is drawing ever so closer? The Lord’s greatness is unsearchable and His understanding infinite. It’s like times in our lives when we may not have understood clearly in our youth or why certain things happened the way they happened, but later in life maybe we had a better understanding. This is why it is so wonderful to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord and all things work together to the good of them that love Him, and we walk by faith and not by sight. The just shall live by faith. The man in the bible who asked the Lord to heal his son said something like; I believe help my unbelief, and the boy was healed soon after. Often times when Jesus healed or gave people a miracle, He would say according to your faith be it unto thee, or go in peace thy faith hath saved thee. Thank the Lord, He is the author and finisher of our faith because without Him we could do nothing. The scripture teaches we should pray according to His will and will hear us. So, what about when we don’ t know what to pray, or are so concerned about something we can’t find the words to say?
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Jesus once taught something that seemed hard to understand at the time, even for His own disciples.
John 6: 53-57
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
Some disciples actually stopped following Him because they were offended, and He even asked the twelve if they would go away. The scripture teaches that Peter said where will we go for thou hast the words of eternal life. The bible also teaches let God’s word be true and every man a liar. Jesus was preparing them for His death on the cross for the sin of many. The innocent, holy, and precious blood of the Son of God was shed and His body broken so whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus loves you, be reconciled to God. He may be interceding for you even now before the Father. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee (Psalms 139: 17, 18).
