THE RESILIENT LEADER
# It takes a resilient leader to lead a resilient church/ministry.
# Paul was one of the most resilient leaders in church history.
2 Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
# One thing we need to understand is that the devil always try to shake us up a bit in order to diminish our influence as a church.
Haggai 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
# But as a Church, we are not the cat with nine lives, rather we are the tiger with eternal life!
# The Church stands strong in times of crisis.
# There’s a prophetic calendar into God’s agenda. 2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
# We are not in the dark as to what’s happening now. Jesus spoke about it.
# As ministers, we should be careful not to allow the crisis turn into spiritual hopelessness.
# Joshua led Israel through a period of crisis. Joshua 1:2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
# God announced the end of an era so that Joshua can move forward.
# Nehemiah refused to lose courage in the face of crisis. Neh.2:14.
# This is the time for us to start a Resilient Vision Neh. 2:7,8.
# A Resilient Leader must have a word that resonates with the thoughts of God per time.
# As a leader, are you saying things that will propel the faith of the people or things that will cause them to relapse into discouragement?
# In the midst of the crisis, don’t lose the capacity to relive new visions or run with the current vision.
# Crisis has a way of stealing your capacity to receive new vision.
# God wants to do great things but He wants to plant His thoughts into the hearts of men.
# Be careful not to abort divine mandate because of fear.
# Don’t allow this season to give you an excuse for taking it easy.
# Don’t allow the pandemic to steal your vision. We cannot use the pandemic as an excuse.
# As a Resilient Leader, you must refuse to loose your capacity for pursuit. Don’t loose your vision of pursuit.
# Be careful not to compare yourself with anyone. Your gift matters. Your calling is important. The body of Christ is waiting for you.
# You must not apologize for your God given vision. You must birth it. Hab. 2:1-3. Make it Happen!
# Faithful is He who called, who also will do it!
