In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
No one is born with success. God shapes trials, tribulations and frustrations to make you succeed. It is always darkest before the dawn. – Ebinezar Gnanansekaran
Wisdom for LIFE is a Divine mandate, drawing INSPIRATION from Revelation gleaned in the Word and exploring seven focal spheres of human life; enabling everyone to live a balanced life.
You are warmly welcome to the first official edition of our weekly bulletin, where we shall be exploring in depth, the monthly edition. In the month of June 2021, our focus is Peace, be Still.
We have stated that peace is NOT the absence of tribulations, but the power of God to take us through the eyes of the storms. There are numerous challenges facing mankind today, all we need is Divine peace. So, we shall be exploring reasons why we need Divine peace.
I have come to understand that a life without storms is a life without progress and flight; a life without dignity and a life without testimonies. Never wish the storms away; they are for your lifting.
The world is full of troubles, trials, tests and temptations. Your rising in life and destiny is a function of how rooted you are in the peace of God (2 Thess. 3:16). Daniel was a man of peace, no wonder he could dare the den of lions as a reward for disobeying the “no prayer order” by his jealous contemporaries
There are tribulations in the work place standing against your career. You don’t win these battles with certificates; you engage Divine peace (Isa 26:3). Just make your ways pleasing to God (Pro. 16:7).
There are those standing against your promotion, confronting them with grammar will not make them give way. Just give them peace like a river to wash them off your path (Isa 59:19).
Secondly, you need peace because the devil, your adversary is roaring about, looking for whom to devour (1Pet. 5:8). Standing still in the face of fierce devils confounds their imagination. The biggest undoing of many today is their inability to be silent when empty enemies are roaring.
Some battles are better fought with peace of mind (1 Cor. 14:33). The devil gained access to Eve in the garden and got her to eat the forbidden fruit because her mind was troubled by its beauty (Gen. 3:1-4).
Therefore, I submit to you that you need peace in order to overcome the tribulations of life. Also, some battles are better fought by extending the hand of peace to the enemy. Lastly, a troubled mind is a defeated individual. The storms aren’t your problem, but unbelief.
In the next edition, we shall be examining how to receive Divine peace into our lives, no matter how boisterous the storms can be. Watch out.
