Prayer Led Life

Daniel 6:10

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel was a ruler in what may have been one of the most powerful kingdoms in world history as it was the head of Gold and a vast kingdom over nearly if not all kingdoms on earth. Of course, Daniel’s schedule was probably very busy as he was the top president in this enormous governing body. However, he found time to pray three times a day. Amazingly, prayer is a key secret to a life of victory and guidance through the every changing dynamics of peoples and cultures. Major decisions hinge upon the sources of wisdom and counsel sought and adhered to, along with the principles which channel effective decision-making under extenuating circumstances and situations.

Secondly, the nation Daniel helped lead was an idolatrous nation with an idolatrous dictator. Nevertheless, Daniel led with integrity and virtue as a servant beloved of God, and who was gifted in understanding visions and dreams. The power of a prayer led life is that the Spirit of God can intervene into the lives and affairs of man. The beautiful picture of Daniel seeking God, obeying God, and walking with God through a variety of trials over spanning periods of his life, but yet the results remained the same that Daniel sought God for deliverance and was delivered.

Nehemiah 9:5

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

The first principle dealt with the submission to a Prayer Led Life, while the next principle opens the gates to the revelation of God and His holy child Jesus the son of the living God. The faith to call on God our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ His son who died on the cross for the sins of the whole world and raised the third day, ascended into heaven as Jesus came in the flesh to save man from their sins. The submission and faith to call upon our creator leads to a direct encounter of the manifest presence and powerful response of the God who created the sun and moon during a single day of the creation record in Genesis. A limitless power which is challenging for our minds to grasp due to our limited nature, but not so to God with whom all things are possible because the heavens of heavens cannot contain Him. So as the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, so true is the perspective and transformation a Prayer Led Life brings at the understanding that God rules among the children of men. One such example comes from the prophet Isaiah when he explains the people of the nations as mere grasshoppers in the sight of the Almighty, regardless of their vast numbers or military might. A Prayer Led Life leads to a person Magnifying God, praising God, and blessing God for helping them to see that His is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever; limitless.

Isaiah 9:6&7

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The third principle of a Prayer Led Life involves the call, purpose, and fulfillment of The Mission. Within the holy scriptures mysteries are revealed, deliverers are sent as in the book of Judges, and as with John the Baptist there was a man sent from God whose name was John. Notice the architect of the elect and chosen of the most high for God’s specific mission. Of course God ordained many ministers in different offices prepared to complete his unique plan and purpose at sundry times and in divers manners. Jesus said it perfectly when He told Joseph and Mary His earthly mother that He must be about His Father’s business. This same fellowship with His heavenly Father allowed Him to overcome by faith as He was tempted in every measure as a man yet without sin. This helped Him to for the joy before Him endure the cross and keep His eye on the prize while saving a lost world where the blind were leading the blind. His resurrection signaled the hope of ages not yet born to have eternal life by believing the truth that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Even now, some two thousand years after His earthly ministry and nations and peoples from the Roman Empire turning to Christianity in mass, as well as nations throughout modern history establishing governments based on Christian-Judaeo principles prosper for centuries upon the principles and teachings of Jesus to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love thy neighbor as thyself. The golden rule to do unto others as you’d have them do unto you. The wonderfully righteous teachings that helped and healed multitudes.

Now believers face challenging times in what may be the entering in or just prior to the time spoken of in the holy text that there must be a falling away before the man of sin is revealed. The treatment of Israel is a good time clock so to speak as the book of Zachariah gives the moments and events which will unfold as the Savior Jesus Christ will be revealed to bring judgment and justice. He will also establish His government as all power in heaven and earth were given unto Him. Jesus will rule on earth, and of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.
