Some believers live as though the cross never happened! The cross did happen and it altered the course of history forever. We are called to live in the light of the finished work of Christ. In Him, we are supposed to live, and move and have our being. Acts 17:28.
There’s simply no life for the believer outside of Christ.Col.3:1-4. The life we live now, we live by the faith of Christ.Gal. 2:20. Christ is our being. Christ is our life!
This article is a guide to help believers process the truth of their redemption and practically access the inestimable reaches which God has wrought in Christ. As able ministers of the new testament (2 Cor 3:6), we have the wonderful privilege of making all men see what is the hope of His calling. Eph. 3:9.
The Power of RECOGNITION
Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
To acknowledge according to the Oxford dictionary is ‘to admit the knowledge of; to recognize as a fact or truth; to declare one’s belief in;’
From the very moment someone comes to Christ, it’s very imperative that the believer begin to understand, discover and appropriate the riches of Christ that is already on his inside. it’s a whole brand new world when we come to Christ so we need to sit down to understand this miracle that God has done in us and how to appropriate it’s riches. As new born babies, we were encouraged to desire the sincere milk of the word of God that we may grow thereby. 1 Peter 2:2 and then from there grow unto maturity in Christ. Heb. 5:12-14.
God is so particular about those who will teach, train and educate his church that He called them ‘able ministers of the new testament’.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
That means that anyone who does not have a working knowledge of the new testament and has not been schooled on its operations and practical applications has no business in the leadership of a local church.
It takes sound words to produce sound believers.
2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
