Sonar, a technology discovered and perfected in the 1940s gave rise to an even clearer ocean floor map than in 1872. Sonar sends sound waves through the water, and the sound waves are reflected back as it bounces off solid objects. The time it takes to return to the surface allowed the mapping of the depth, width, height and true form of the Mariana Trench.
Fear, anxiety, sadness, trauma, and loss influence our depths perception. However, we are created with more sophisticated sonar sensors of prayer that increases this depth perception!
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors, through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor power, nor things present nor to come, nor height nor death, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
As we are in the second year of the pandemic, let us employ prayer as a sonar to discover the height and depth of God’s love.
With love always,
