Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.
We need to realize that first and foremost, we are servants of Jesus and NOT LORD over the Lord’s heritage (1 Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.) Remember that we serve God with our spirits in the gospel of his Son (Rom. 1:9). As servants, we are the stewards of the mysteries of God and He expects faithfulness from each and everyone of us.
(1 Corinthians 4:1,2)
It’s quite imperative that we know what we’re called to be, to know our place and position in His service.
What you are called to be determines the grace and level of auction available for the fulfilment of your call. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us……
Question! Are we aware that we are gifted differently and the ONLY THING that God expects of us is to minister according to the grace He has GIVEN to us?
That’s why we need to wait on our ministries. There’s no competition or jealousy when we minister from the grace of His call upon our lives. When a minister waits on his/her calling and stand strong in the grace accompanying that call, he/she; in a matter of time will become a leading light and voice in his/her area of call.
You will enjoy the strong backing of the Holy Spirit while standing strong in your call. Jumping from one pulpit to the other does not validate your calling. If you start jumping before the time of your showing forth, you will soon become a forgotten article.(Luke 1:80)
Don’t you ever run out with an environmental anointing! Many young ministers has made a shipwreck of their glorious ministry by moving out from their God given covering before heaven releases them. it’s better to serve for seventy five years and enjoy fifteen years of tremendous open door ministry on your own than to jump out after a brief time and be Lost in the ministerial wilderness for the rest of your life!
Psalms 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Until you’ve seen Him for yourself and have drunken from the clear rivers of His presence and received His marching order, don’t dare venture out!
Church folks are going to tell you how you are more anionted than your G.O, how without you nothing moves here. They’ll tell you how they are going to support you if you start your work. They’ll encourage you to break the Church since majority of the members will follow you wherever you go. They may even purchase or rent a place close to your church and encourage you to break up with your G.O. Your wife or friends may even see reasons with the crowd.
No matter who prophesied you into the ministry, they’ll not be there when the chips are down. When jungle matures, may you not be at the mercy of the wild beasts. Without divine direction, ministry and life becomes a drag! Don’t plant a seed of rebellion that may hunt you later on in life and ministry. Don’t destroy another Man’s vision in order to prove a point! Don’t scatter another man’s building and erect yours on top of their foundation. Disengage without burning the bridges, you will need it someday!
The New international version puts it this way: I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.(Psa.63:2) Jesus says: John 5:19 …..Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
You don’t see what the Father does in the public, you see it in your inner chamber where you meet with Him! You don’t see it playing church politics. You don’t see it trying to run down others so as to gain an advantage and of course you don’t see it by always knocking on the doors of politicians and targeting the pockets of the well to do around you. You and I must separate ourselves for His glory! It’s ONLY in His presence we gain tremendous mileage. Period!
DON’T forget that you have been GIVEN Grace to minister according to your calling, ACKNOWLEDGE it and stand strong in God’s grace upon your life. NEVER allow yourself to be fazed or intimidated by the glamour of other callings.
You must take root downward so as to bear fruit upward (2Kings19:30)
You are divinely imbued and strategically placed by God to fulfill a particular purpose that’s so important in the eternal scheme of things.
Rom. 12:6…whether Prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching.
His grace has separated us unto the gospel, we all shall make a success out of it in Jesus Precious Name!
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Maranatha!
