The Bible Has Answers for all the Issues of Life

God’s Word has the answer for all the issues of life. How can I know that the Bible is indeed the Word of God? The Bible has the answer for that–in the form of scientific foreknowledge (Job 26:7). How can I escape lusts of the flesh? The Bible has the answer for that as well (Galatians 5:16).

HOW CAN I KNOW THAT THE BIBLE IS INDEED THE WORD OF GOD?

Isaac Newton set forth his Universal Law of Gravitation in the 1680s. How could Job have known that the earth “hangs on nothing” (Job 26:7) thousands of years before? One of many reasons to believe that the Bible is the Word of God.

He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing (Job 26:7).

Once convinced that the Bible is indeed the Word of God, I can then, with great confidence, look to the Bible for answers to many of the issues of life. Example: What does the Bible have to say with regard to escaping lusts of the flesh?

HOW CAN I ESCAPE LUSTS OF THE FLESH?

God has made an amazing promise in Galatians 5:16. To all who choose to walk in the Spirit, He has promised deliverance from lusts of the flesh. The key to living sexually pure is hiding in the plain sight of Scripture. Living sexually pure is guaranteed, so long as I am walking in the Spirit.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
