The name above every name is Jesus Christ who died, rose again, and sits on the right hand of God. Philippians 2:9-11 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Therefore, the name of Jesus is above any other being. The name of Jesus is above any other man made god. The name of Jesus is above cancer, above any disease. We are to fear the Lord Jesus Christ which is to put Him first and obey His word. Who do we fear that we are obeying or following that we are putting above Jesus? Do we believe in our heart that disease is above the Healer (Jesus Christ)? Do we believe or trust in the world leaders or government systems to provide our needs or do we believe in Jesus Christ to supply all our needs?
This verse in Philippians says that the things of heaven, the things of the earth, and the things under the earth shall bow to the name of Jesus. There was a time when I was walking in so much fear that I started to come under the oppression of the demonic. I felt paralyzed as I was trying to sleep. I felt like I was being suffocated or strangled by my blanket. I knew that I needed to call out the name of Jesus and come out of the agreement of fear of harm to my loved one. I had to come out of the agreement I had made in my heart and mind with fear. Jesus Christ was above these fears and that fear in my heart had to bow to the name of Jesus as I spoke it with my mouth.
Joel 2:32 says, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered. . .” That day I had revelation of the power of Jesus Christ as I agreed with His word and the power in His name to remove evil, fear, and the demonic from my life. There is an unseen spiritual world where good and evil is warring for our lives, our souls, our health, our family, and our destinies.
We as believers must come into agreement with the word of God to activate truth by the power of the Holy Spirit by our faith. Once God revealed to me the intensity of the dark kingdom fighting for our souls, it changed me completely as I understood the true battle we are in. There is a spiritual war going on where the darkness never sleeps or rests. But the Name above all darkness in the heavens or in the earth or under the earth, must bow to the name of Jesus Christ as we proclaim His name in faith in our circumstances, and we will get to witness how the darkness must bow to His name.
We must be a “whosoever that calls on His name”!!!
