The Point of Return
Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her (Matthew 26:13)
Imagine the life changing event the Holy Savior Jesus’ love, forgiveness, and deliverance brought to the soul of the person who gave such a unique gift of very precious ointment from an alabaster box. A very costly gift given to the Master as He prepared to give the most precious gift of all, Himself. The heavenly Father gave the most precious gift of His eternal love, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. A spotless lamb, without sin, without blemish given to take away the sins of the whole world.
And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples (Matthew 26:18).
The bible declares the steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. The Lord Jesus walked so closely with His heavenly Father in the light and fulfilling the Fathers will as written of Him in the Holy Scriptures which He wonderfully fulfilled. He was well aware of the Father’s timing and purpose in His life and knew the hour for His return to His heavenly Father.
But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee (Matthew 26:32).
Now the foreknowledge of God is quite amazing as He is indeed a great and mighty God, King of kings, and Lord of lords. Jesus was about to suffer a great price for us to have salvation by His grace through faith and eternal life through Him. He would suffer for six hours on the cross from the third hour until the ninth when he gave up the ghost. Yet He knew when He rose again He would go before the disciples into Galilee. The Master was still instructing before He suffered so His disciples would know when the time came after His resurrection where they should go. He was leading His flock through it all.
