With “Spirit-Powered” appearing in the title of the book, and “Holy Spirit dove” images leading off each chapter, two questions have perhaps come to the reader’s mind.
WHO CAN REALIZE THE FULL SPIRITUAL BENEFITS OF THE WAY OF ESCAPE BATTLE PLAN?
The Holy Spirit can deliver only those in whom He dwells (John 14:17). I can overcome the flesh by walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) only if I have first been born of the Spirit (John 3:3-8). The full spiritual benefits of the Way of Escape Battle Plan may therefore only be realized by those who have first been born of the Spirit.
ARE ANY SPECIAL SPIRITUAL GIFTS REQUIRED?
No. All who have been born of the Spirit have been empowered to walk in the Spirit. Most, however, only do so to some very limited degree. The still-struggling may simply need to learn how to step up the degree to which they are walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). The still-struggling may simply need to drop the passivity, and learn how to actively pursue more regular relationship intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
All who have been born of the Spirit may realize the full spiritual benefits of the Way of Escape Battle Plan. No special spiritual gifts are required.
