Understanding Your Spirit Life!

Part 4

Part of the mystery of our redemption is that we are now one with God.
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

You are one spirit with the Lord! Sounds to far-fetched? God is not insecure! Enjoy the privileges that redemption has made available to us. His eternal purpose has always been that He would:
purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titus 2:14

For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren. Heb. 2:11

Jesusis who is our sanctification (1 Cor.1:30) and we who are the sanctified (2 Thess.2:13) are all one; …. for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
(Heb 2:11)

So, when the word says:
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. (1John 4:17); what does it really mean?

The natural question that this elicits should be: How is Jesus today? As He is! You need to meditate on this a little bit. Seated above all! Glorified and full of power and authority! How is Jesus today?

In the same breath, the word of God says that precisely the same way He is, so are you, not in the sweet by and by but in this present world!

We may give a mental accent to it but pause and reflect a little bit, do you really believe that from your heart that as Jesus is, so you are?

Whenever we encounter verses like this, more often than not, we start to reflect on our short comings and conclude that it’s not possible. We start weighing our thoughts and actions. We will begin to analyze the frailties of our lives not knowing that in your spirit; as Jesus is, so you are in this present world.

God has never required you and I to be strong in ourselves rather the word admonishes us to: … be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph. 6:10.

God has never worked with anyone perfect in character and He’s not going to start that with you, rather God has loaded your spirit man with all the perfection you’ll ever need. It may interest you to know that God did not abandon His perfect work of redemption in your spirit to the vagaries of this life. He sealed His Life in you, the redemption package with His Holy Ghost sent from heaven. That’s how important you are to God Almighty!
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also AFTER that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise. Eph. 1:13

Your spirit has been radically saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit. That is why the word declares that:
…. we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Phil.3:3.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

This is how the Amplified renders it:

For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].

Don’t you forget that this same Christ dwells in our spirit man with the fullness of this glory and the word declares that: …. of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. John 1:16.

His fullness are resident in your spirit man whether you feel like it or not. It doesn’t change the truth that you are God’s power station because the very life of God resides in your spirit.

1 John 2:20 ‘But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.’ has nothing to do with your intellect or mental faculties. Of course, you can’t know all things with your mental faculties. It’s not possible no matter how brilliant you are. But God is not referring to your mind here. It’s in your spirit that you have the mind of Christ.

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Col. 3:10.

It’s time for the Church to wake up and harness the infinite possibilities of divine life that abounds freely in our spirit man.

When he shall come to be GLORIFIED in his saints, and to be ADMIRED in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 1 Thess. 1:10.

Our prayers is that He will be glorified and admired in our lives!

This is not the conclusion, it’s the beginning of the discovery of your spirit life!
