What are you Preaching?
The word preach or proclaim can have many meanings, connotations, and applications, but the everlasting gospel and the truth of that everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ can not be added to or taken from because the true gospel is perfectly holy as it is in truth the Word of God.
The Consequences of False Proclamation
Galatians chapter one warns and teaches if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than that was delivered them, let them be accursed. Certainly, a discern-er is the fruit of that which is proclaimed and if the fruit is of the flesh and not of the spirit then deception has been spun.
Jesus Christ came in the flesh of the seed of David and was proclaimed to be the son of God in power by the resurrection of the dead as in all righteousness and walked in holiness before God the Holy Father by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit.
The Dangers of Adding to or Taking Away from the Gospel
Many who preach an addition to the gospel may have been deceived by an organization or simply fleshly desires such as having as many wives as one could imagine.
However, the New Testament set precedent in I Corinthians 7:2 by teaching let every man have his own wife. Therefore, the enemy who wrongfully manipulated the holy scripture to try and deceive Christ could also wrongfully use scripture to try and deceive people to justify themselves in an addition which is confusion and dilution of the true gospel with the consequence of being accursed.
Therefore, if you know the truth the truth shall make you free, so if a person chooses the true unhampered gospel then they can take up their cross whether popular or unpopular, deny themselves, and turn to Him in truth and be free. The bible teaches we will be judged by the words which Jesus has spoken and that He is the Word made flesh and the holy scriptures point to Him. So, Galatians chapter one will stand the test of time as heaven and earth shall pass away, but the Word of the Lord shall endure forever. Be reconciled to God.
Preaching an Incomplete Gospel
While some may proclaim additions which the bible teaches leads to being accursed, an even greater warning seems to be to those who proclaim or preach a gospel in which they have taken away from the words of the prophesy of the holy text. Therefore, preaching that Jesus was a good man but not the son of God then becomes a lying blasphemy, because Jesus proved He was and is and all ways will be in fact the son of God because He did works which no other man could do and His works were all good and all of the Holy Spirit in truth.
The Billy Graham Workers Manual is an extensive scholarly resource which examines major believe systems against Christianity. I was quite amazed that possibly a majority of false religions believed Jesus Christ was a great teacher and of course the historical figure of unmatched impact, but deny that He was the son of God. An astronomical error and horrific reality that some would get so close to the true gospel unhampered which would guarantee their souls would live forever and would suffer the righteous judgment of God’s eternal wrath instead in the depths of the devils hell or eventually the lake of fire with the smoke of their torment ascending up forever and ever before the holy angels and the holy lamb of God.
Hope for Those Who Repent and Believe
There is still hope for those who repent and turn to God in truth and receive the mercy and grace given on the cross by the death of God’s own son for the sins of the world. For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is the son of God. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day so we could be justified. Jesus was seen of many eye witnesses after his resurrection and ascended up into heaven and was seen of witnesses.
Proclamation by Angels in Revelation
Revelation 14:
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
The angels of heaven will fly through the midst of heaven around the time of the great tribulation and make proclamation. In fact, the holy scriptures of the book of Revelation teach also they will proclaim grave warning against taking the mark of the beast and/or worshiping the beast. The punishment for worshiping the beast who will deceive by signs and lying wonders and who will seek for all to worship him by the power of the dragon or satan will be everlasting torment for ever and ever.
Therefore, fear the true and living God while there is hope of salvation in Jesus Christ while the long suffering of God is salvation while he waits for the precious fruit and has long patience for it. Nevertheless, the gospel stands true that holy men spake as they were moved by the holy ghost and the testimonies of God were recorded from Abraham to Moses, to King David, to King Jesus the son of God. The everlasting God and His everlasting love for as many who will receive Him.
