We as Christians have the greatest news in the world. Greater than any news media organization could ever talk about. Since this is true, the fact that the numbers in all Christian denominations are steadily dropping is problematic.
The main problem I see is that the world doesn’t see us as anything other than hypocrites who want to live like the world but condemn them while they live like the world.
You see, if we as Christians would let the world see us as real and clear of all the fakeness, then they might actually want what we have. The world wants to see us be true to our calling to be a Christian. No matter what we do, we won’t reach a lost world being something besides a lover of Christ and a lover of people. When Christians live what they believe, a lost world is drawn to the gospel. Unfortunately we as Christians lose our focus and start enjoying the world instead of enjoying our freedom in Christ.
So what is the solution? I’m glad you asked. We have to live like we love Christ. When we do that, then we show the world we are not fake and the gospel is real. When we live what we preach and teach, then the world is willing to come around and give grace an opportunity. That’s all Christ needs.
