The discovery of sonar greatly assisted the research done to discover the deepest point on earth. Researchers were not only interested in the depths but also the width of the Mariana Trench.
The width measurement, 44 miles (70 km), twice the length of California. The Mariana Trench starts 1500 miles ( km) from the south-east of Guam and ends north-west off the Mariana Islands.
At times in our lives, we may feel like Job when he spoke the words, “Where then is my hope? As for my hope, who can see it?” Job 17:15. Job prayed for relief in the most difficult time of his life.
It is only after intense wrestling with God and much prayer that Job experienced restoration and hope again.
Let us keep using the sonar of prayer just as Job did. When concerns press and narrow our hope, keep praying for wider hope!
Then we can say as David said, “Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.”
Psalm 16:9
