Your body is not your own

You do know that your body is not your own right? Scripture tells us so:

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Now that I have reminded you that your body is the Lord’s Temple, perhaps you can start to look at fuelling it with food more respectfully, intentionally. I certainly did.

When I got this revelation, I instinctively became more mindful of what I ate. I love and respect God, I believe that as you are on the Hopelify platform you do too. My love and respect for God, caused me to be more inclined to THINK about the foods I ate. I believe that you will too.

Seeing my body as His Temple, HELPED me to gravitate towards eating more of a wide variety of healthy foods. These are typically the foods our good God has so graciously blessed us with. They are real, healthy, wholesome, and minimally processed.

I must say that this revelation has been instrumental to me being able to get a better grip, on looking after my body, His Temple. I eat better and exercise regularly. As we all know, exercise also plays a role in keeping our bodies healthy.

The benefits of seeing and fuelling my body as His Temple made a huge difference in my healthy lifestyle journey. I had been on this path for many years, but did not enjoy the level of ease that I do now.

It certainly is not eating moderate amounts of predominantly real foods that causes us to put on weight and/or ails us…it is often eating without discretion processed foods that is the problem.
