YOUR IMAGINATION: WHAT ARE YOU USING IT FOR?

YOUR IMAGINATION

YOUR IMAGINATION: WHAT ARE YOU USING IT FOR?

God is the Creator of our mind and our imagination. We choose what we use our imagination for! Are you intentional about using your imagination for good? Or has the world or Satan taken over space in your imagination? According to Mark 11:24, “What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” What are you believing for, what are you imagining?

The world is continually trying to fill our imagination with what we should look like, what we should be doing for entertainment, what we should spend our money on, and what lusts of the world we are to be desiring. Additionally, Satan and his evil kingdom plant thoughts in our mind. We have the choice to think on these evil imaginations or cast them off. We choose! We can get caught up in evil imaginations if we are not intentional about casting them off. But once we become aware of our wandering thoughts, it is our decision to fight them through the power of the word of God; speaking life with our words by rebuking these lies and casting them off; and the power of the Holy Spirit working through us. Simply having a thought (since Satan’s evil kingdom can put thoughts in our mind) isn’t a sin until we start acting on it and enjoying the lusts of the flesh. Second Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience in Christ.”

What should we be imagining? “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8) Amen!

Years ago, I heard a teacher speak who has seen many people healed of diseases and has seen a few people raised from the dead. He spoke that day and stated that before he ever saw someone raised from the dead that he imagined it, in his mind, first. Our imaginations are more powerful than we realize.

Be blessed as you seek Jesus with all your heart! Seek truth!
