How many times have you felt like you don’t really possess any great talent? Or maybe you have always wanted to make a difference in the world, but felt like you don’t have anything special to offer.

I remember growing up I hated the question, “what talents do you have?” Every single time this question was asked, I cringed and quickly scanned my brain to try and come up with something. Maybe you can relate. I always had such a hard time coming up with a talent. Although I could never come up with a talent, I knew that I always had this desire and drive to make a difference in the world.

It wasn’t until God revealed this simple, but powerful truth to me, that I realized I already possessed exactly what I needed to make a difference in the world. The truth is, your words matter. See, your words have the power to speak life or death over you. Your words have the power to speak life or death over others. Your words matter.

There was a time in my life when I realized the power of my words. I remember as I was on the journey of healing from my heartbreak, God revealed to me that my words matter. Reflecting back on my life, I was able to pinpoint times in my life where people spoke words of death over me. At the time, I didn’t realize the impact their words played in my life, but when I looked back it was so clear.

The words you speak hold the power to influence the path someone takes. See, what is spoken over you directly affects how you feel about yourself and what you believe about yourself. And what you believe about yourself directly influences how you behave.

Think of a time in your life when what was said to you influenced what you believed about yourself. Now imagine if what was spoken over you was never said. Maybe the path you ended up taking would have looked completely different.

Speak life over yourself and over others. Encourage one another. Uplift each other. Your words are powerful. They’re not just words, they hold the power to influence the path someone takes. They hold the power to change the trajectory of someone’s path. Words can help write a story of beauty or words can help write a story of bondage.

Use your voice to speak words of life and truth over people. Your voice is your superpower and the words you choose to speak have the power to make a difference in someone else’s life. You may not think you possess a talent to change the world, but your voice is all you really need.

If you are still struggling to escape the hurt from words that have wounded you, know you are not alone. For more information on how to take your first step of courage towards finding Healing from the Heartbreak please visit https://www.amandafrey.com/ or email [email protected]
